One of the most anticipated events of the fall is almost here, the 2011 Oklahoma State Fair! Now, I’ve been to plenty of regular fairs in my lifetime, but there’s just something special about a state fair. Everything that you would ever expect or want will be on the fairgrounds at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City from September 15 – 25.

The 2011 Oklahoma State Fair will bring with it a multitude of exhibits, wonderful shows, and plenty of live animals shows for kids young and old to enjoy. There’s no limit to the fun available to you here!

Along with all of the shows and exhibits, there’s also great foods, a Disney on Ice Show, rides and games, and competitions like Miss Oklahoma State Fair and even a amateur and professional wine contest! There’s literally something for everyone!

If you would like to have a more hands on experience with the state fair, you can always volunteer your time. Volunteer Members are critical for the successful operation of the Fair each year. Their faithful service is the backbone of the Fair and, without them, the fair wouldn’t be as successful as it has been in recent years.

Admission for the fair is $9 for Adults and $5 for kids, with kids 5 and under free!
